how to take care of your Allstar chuck taylor

taking care of your Allstar Chuck Taylors.

So in my previous post I shared a bit on ways of identifying fake converse  All-stars and i'm guessing the next thing you would like to do after grabbing your first pair of chucks is know how to take care of your newly acquired kicks.

chucks are one of my all time favorite shoes,I wear Chucks for just about any occasion school, business, clubbing, you name it.I can literally pull off any outfit with these and usually after a day of "Chuck tayling"i'm left with a really dirty pair of chucks so i have found a simple D.I.Y way to get my chucks looking spanking new fresh...well kinda.
so you'll need a few basic materials to get u started:

hydrogen peroxide,I use domestos toilet bleach(don't judge me) for white chucks only!!
powdered laundry detergent.
liquid stain remover .
one hand towel (for cleanups).
mesh wash bag (using a brush might fade your shoe color).
washing machine.
dirty towels.

Preparing your converse for washing!!

remove your laces(I usually don't cause I'm lazy but u should)
thoroughly soak your sneakers and laces in the stain remover for about five minutes.
while you wait for your sneakers to soak you can prepare the washing machine, this is where those dirty towels come into play.

If you ain't got a washing machine "no sweat" grab a bucket sit yourself down and prepare for some hand scrubbing.

remove your converse and laces from the stain remover and throw them into the washing machine together with the towels.
TIP:That filthy pair of jeans u meant to wash but never did can go in with your kicks and replace the towels. (Two birds one stone😎).just make sure the jeans won't dye your kicks if nit sure stick to towels...

add a fair amount of your powdered detergent, stain remover  (hydrogen peroxide)/mild bleach a scoop or two should do "roughly 2oz".

NB: use bleach (hydrogen peroxide) for white Chuck Taylor only.

set your washing machine on synthetics or most suitable setting depending on brand and u good to go.
the best part is u can read a book or even take a nap or whatever as your sneakers wash..I recommend a nap for no reason at all.
set them outside in the sun, for example. After about 12 hours, they'll be ready to go with any outfit

Tip: dry sneakers on window sill with plenty sun exposure to quicken drying.

Anywhere with no dust and dirt is perfect...

So that's it folks...oiulla!! your kicks are ready for some action😆

Converse was create in 1917 by Marquis Mills Converse . Converse went  through a difficult time financially, and were  pressured into finding ways of overcoming their financial situation
at that time Basketball was a popular sport the manthe company saw an opportunity in creating durable shoes, that provided both comfort to players and provided financial solutions to the company. This led to the Birth of the Converse Allstar Chuck Taylor we now know and love.

How to Spot Fake All Star Converse

With  counterfeit shoes flooding the market and Counterfeiters becoming more and more advanced determining the genuine products is hard.
There are a few ways for anybody to spot fake Converse :

1.Original Converse sneakers come in a retail box. The box has CONVERSE written in capitals on top  check the size, print ,quality, distance and font of this logo.Boxes differ depending on color and style also keep in mind that original boxes can  contain fake

2.the Converse box has a side label On the label you can find the following information: serial number, size and country of manufacturer

3.The original Converse shoes have an inside label. The label differ depending on style, year, country of manufacture and style the number must match the serial number on the box,if it doesn't you probably working with a fake

4.Check the Chuck Taylor patch. The real patch has a navy blue star, whereas the fake one may have different shade of blue  the original will be also  stamped with only a star and Taylor's signature.
All Stars should have a clearly legible patch.
NB:The patch might differ with style and colour

5.The sole should be thick, hard and be able to bend without straining or tearing the sole, the sole should have CONVERSE  check the C letter "upper end flattened" STAR "5 points". ALL STAR "upper case" SMALL STAR top left "six points"

6.when buying you should consider the price  a ridiculously low price  might be a red flag.Original Converse sneakers cost about $40-100 depending on style, the fake about $15-30.

7.The All Stars logo will be printed very clearly on the top of the tongue. if the print is blurry or the thread in loose around the print it is fake. The traditional tongue is made of a thin canvas. Pay attention to the stitching around the border the tongue.
As a general rule, if the stitching is loose or uneven, it’s fake

8.Check inside your shoe In real Converse, the inner sole will have the word Converse printed on it.Be aware if you are buying a used pair. A used pair’s insole will be more faded than a new pair, but this doesn’t necessarily mean they’re fake

the pinstripe on the edges of the shoe must be straight and have no defects or breaks .The safety element of the Converse shoes is the letters, made of several segments with spacing if the letters are one-piece you are dealing with a fake
